Plot / Synopsis

Zeus, the mightiest of the Greek Gods, takes on the form of King Creontes and warns his human son Hercules about falling in love with the king's daughter Megara: Hera, Zeus' wife, will not allow the union. Naturally, it is too late. Hercules is in love already (though he has a couple of other fucks...with Megara's servant girl, for instance, or Zeus' handmaiden). Meanwhile, Hera's magic renders Megara frigid, and when Hercules finally arrives at her palace rendezvous, he is in for a surprise. As a sexy oracle girl then tells him, he will have to find the Golden Apple of the Hesperides, the only cure for that sort of thing. But she doesn't tell him about the crazed bunch of Amazons that plan on killing the hero.

A few years ago, Martinez Lazaro release musical called "THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BED" a huge success in Spain and besides several technical problems, the movie was a brilliant, political incorrect, but very sincere look at couples relation. A couple of years later, he made a follow keeping only the male characters; but never reached the mix of fun and drama over reality of the first one. Now, and probably compensating women, Lazaro with Daniela Féjerman create a somewhat similar situation, an apparently frigid woman looking for love and sexual pleasure that finally gets an asexual but sweet man she falls in love with; only to fall to the sexual charms of his nutcase friend.

Acting goes from excellent for Alterio and San Juan (both get) to very good for Veronica Sanchez as the woman in a complex situation she tries to correct but cannot control.

Do not expect again political correctness here. There is plenty of nudity and the sexual scenes while brief and far from hardcore, get sometimes very realistic.

In brief; still not as good and funny as "THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BED", but the best romance movie this year.

Plot / Synopsis

Eryk is a paranoid former soldier who is holed up in a remote house planning a mysterious job. Awaiting instructions from his employers, he whiles away the time engaging in target practice and attempting to kill the local beavers that are disturbing his peace. Enter an abused teenage girl, Bezi, who takes a shine to Eryk and the two soon engage in a torrid sexual affair. But as Eryk has flashbacks to incidents in his past it becomes clear that all is not what it seems.

Eryk, the main protagonist, returns to his childhood home. He is an ex-army officer, who participated in secret missions that took place in many hot spots, around the globe. He lives alone, surrounded only by modern electronic devices and wildlife, and works on a secret mission. At the same time, he struggles with images from the past that have been haunting him. An encounter with Bezi, a girl who lives nearby, gives him an opportunity to feel comfort in her arms, even if for just a brief moment. Eryk thinks that he is in control of the situation. When he discovers that it is his mind that controls him, it is already too late.
